Nushrratt Bharuccha To Play A Condom Sales Executive In Her Next Janhit Mein Jaari
Nushrratt Bharuccha’s next Janhit Mein Jaari helmed by Raaj Shaandilyaa will see her as a well-educated and progressive woman working as condom sales executive
Actress Nushrratt Bharuccha’s next will help get rid of the typecast tag soon. Seen in glamorous roles so far on the silver screen, as per her conversation on Bombay Times, she will be playing an unconventional role. Actress’ next Janhit Mein Jaari helmed Raaj Shaandilyaa will see her in the character of a condom sales executive. In the movie her character will be shown hailing from a small town, being hired as a sales and promotions executive at a condom producing company.
Raaj Shaandilyaa speaking about her onscreen character said, “Nushrratt’s character hails from a small town. She is a well-educated and progressive woman. She’s looking for a job and finds one where she’s placed as a sales and promotions executive at a condom manufacturing company.” He adds, “In the film, Nushrratt hops between selling condoms at medical stores and also runs promotions in different areas of the locality. The film also focuses on the repercussions she faces in her personal life due to her profession, which is rare for a woman.”
During her conversation the Dream Girl actress mentions she doesn’t think of a role being commercial or non-commercial, she just accepts it as a challenge. She says, “When a story or character appeals to me, the actor in me doesn’t put it into a bucket of commercial or non-commercial. It’s the greed of portraying a challenging character that attracts me to a film.”
On collaborating with Nushrratt for the second time after Dream Girl, the director shares that he has discussed the story with her during Dream Girl shoot. “I had discussed the story with Nushrratt when we were shooting for Dream Girl in Mathura. After learning about the bold character, she got really excited. Toh Nushrratt se mujhe yeh character karwana hi tha, because most filmmakers wouldn’t imagine her doing a part like this on screen,” he added. Raaj giving deets about the shooting locations, says, “We are planning to shoot in Chanderi and Bhopal. For her part, Nushrratt will also learn the nuances of the local language.”
The film was supposed to go on floors on April 24, but was pushed ahead due to COVID-19 pandemic. As per reports it might go on floors in August depending upon the situation.
